Help > Content Management System > Town Pages
If you are signed up for Town Pages, you can create a unique page for any town or neighborhood you choose. These pages highlight information on the area of your choice, and show search results relevant to the specific town or neighborhood. For example, you can create a town page for “Brookline apartments” that will show only rental properties in any of the neighborhoods in Brookline. The information on these pages is pulled on a daily basis from your available listings. The information is refreshed with any updates and changes once a day when the information is pulled from your account.
To create a new Town Page:
- Create a standard new page in the CMS, using the Pages instructions, and save it
- Click on the “CMS” tab
- Click on the “Town Pages” sub item
- Click on the “New Town Page” link on the lower left of the Town Pages view
- Select the existing page you wish to become a Town Page from the dropdown list
- Select whether you want the page to be a sales search page or a rentals search page
- Select via the checkbox if you wish to enable Modal Lead Capture for the page. If you select Modal Lead Capture, users will have to enter their name and email address to view the page. Read more about Modal Lead Capture in the Settings section of this user guide.
- Select the search parameters you wish to associate with this page; you can choose the timeframe, price range, area, and property filters if desired.
- Click Create and your new Town Page is listed in your table of Town Pages, active on your site, and visible in the menu of Town Pages that appears on the lower portion of every page.
Tip: Town Pages increase your search engine rankings- and entering unique content on each town page, even if it is just a short paragraph describing the area in your own words, greatly increases this effect.
To edit a Town Page:
- Click the CMS tab
- Click the Town Pages sub item to view the table of all Town Pages on your site
- Click “Edit” to the right of the Town Page you wish to edit
- Make any desired revisions, then click Edit to finalize the edit
Tip: You can delete a town page from either the Town Pages view or the standard Pages view.
