Asking People To Review You On Yelp!

We recently had a client ask the Boston Logic team's advice about how to get more reviews on Yelp, here's a few tips from what we recommended:

When a real estate customer finishes their transaction, thank them for their business, and ask the customer if they would be willing to recommend you to a friend? If the client says yes, ask them if they would be willing to recommend you on Yelp specifically. Or if a client is particularly appreciative and asks you how they can help you, ask them to write a review on yelp.

Give them some tips on how to write the review. Tell them to be honest, and to explain the process about what happened in their real estate transaction and to describe the whole experience. Giving facts about what happened helps, essentially describing how the agent helped the customer to buy or sell a property.

When you get a good review, let people know about the review. Create a print out of the reviews, and give that to your customers as part of your package of materials, also post any positive reviews in your office. If you have a lot of reviews on Yelp, consider mentioning the number of posts in your marketing materials, for example “We’ve had many reviews on yelp, give your feedback about your experience.”
