Here at Boston Logic, we embraced the summer with bbq lunches, and turned up the heat (and then the air conditioning) with two new hires to our digital marketing team. Courtney Lyerly, senior digital marketing associate, and Chris Richie, our digital marketing manager, bring a fresh perspective to our growing band of Bolo-ers! Content, design, strategy and execution — they’ve got your marketing needs covered.
So, drum-roll please….
Meet Courtney and Chris!
Courtney: My tale originally began studying journalism in the Grand Canyon state, but at the time of graduation and with all the volatile changes happening in the industry, I switched to the “dark side”. I worked at a global PR agency in San Diego before switching (again) to digital marketing in the SaaS and healthcare space. Now, I’m hooked! Working in a discipline that is constantly evolving and improving and updating itself really keeps me on my toes.
Chris: I went to school for fine arts and design at UConn (go Huskies!). After that, I worked in journalism at a few different newspapers, and worked in PR, communications and marketing. My experiences across different industries have allowed me to adapt and change in new roles, and I’ve definitely found that this has proven a useful skill to have in the startup environment.
Courtney: Prior to joining the team, I started my own business offering SEO and content marketing consulting. At Boston Logic, I get to do the same exact thing on a larger scale. Plus, for the majority of my professional career, I’ve been a remote employee–with only my pup Zeke to bounce ideas off of. Now, I get great culture, great people and great work–I’m not the crazy lady trying to brainstorm with her adorable dachshund anymore…
Chris: The opportunities at Boston Logic are incredible. I’m excited to be a part of a team that is providing a platform and delivering solutions on the cutting edge of real estate technology. I also find the real estate industry to be a generally exciting space work in and around.
Courtney: I’m not necessarily surprised that Boston Logic is making great strides from a technology standpoint for the real estate industry (I accepted a job here, after all!), but I love that it is tested and proven on an almost daily basis. Our little family here is working to make a difference and we all have the same goal at the end of the day.
Oh, and I’m surprised that GIFs are now a huge and entertaining part of my professional day. (thanks, Slack)
Chris: I’m surprised how pleasurable my commute is. In my opinion, this area is a hidden gem of The South End. There is new development all around us. I hadn’t really thought about it before, but we really are in one of the hottest up-and-coming places for real estate and business in Boston.
Courtney: Awesome! The whole team has been so welcoming and more than happy to answer any and all questions–even the stupid ones. For most of my professional life, I’ve been a remote employee, working out of a home office. And even though it took some time to adjust to my new routine, I’m embracing the change. That of course means I have to put pants on every day now, but it’s worth it.
Chris: I’m excited to be surrounded by so many smart and talented people. It isn’t trite to say that we have great culture and diversity here. I also feel like we are so lucky to have Steven on the team as the head of Talent Acquisition and HR; he is the best HR person I have ever worked with. Nobody is telling me to say that, it’s just a fact.
We’re just as excited to have Courtney and Chris on board to take the reigns and drive our digital marketing team! And, we’re still hiring for a number of positions, so if you’re looking to apply, please reach out to Steven. We’d love to hear from you!
