New MLS Integrations – Sequoia Now Serving More Realtors Than Ever
Sequoia Now Offering Expanded Coverage In Florida and California
Spring is in the air, and Sequoia's MLS coverage is spreading to warmer climes as we continue to serve more and more Realtors across the US. We've recently integrated three new MLS services - CLAW, the Combined L.A. / Westside MLS, The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors MLS (NEFAR), and the Miami Association of Realtors MLS. The Florida services join our existing integration of MFRMLS to offer widespread coverage throughout the state of Florida; CLAW is our first market entry into California and our sales there are off to a great start!

First Site Launch of the New Year: Hodara Properties
One of Forbes' 30 Under 30 Chooses Boston Logic's Sequoia System to Propel His Business Online
Congratulations to Owner Alex Hodara and his team on their new Sequoia website- Boston Logic's first site launch of the New Year! At age 23, in January of 2009, Alex started what CNBC coined "the first student run real estate brokerage"- quickly growing from 4 rental agents showing apartments for just a few landlords, to 12 agents showing apartments for over 100 landlords in the greater Boston area. Hodara has recently been featured in Forbes' 30 Under 30 rising stars and 'disrupters' in the Real Estate category, and was honored by Businessweek last year as one of America's Best Young Entrepreneurs.
Hodara told Boston Logic that his website was simply not producing leads and lacked the user utilities to do so. He wanted a new site that would compliment his personal brand and reputation, act as a strong foundation for his rapid business growth, and continue to propel his success in a competitive online marketplace. Hodara chose our Modified Website Design Theme, backed by the Sequoia platform's specially integrated YouGotListings, Town Pages, and interactive search map.

Recent Sequoia Site Launches
Congratulations to Crispin Richey of Gibson Sotheby's, Michele Monti from Century 21, the team at Home Run Realty, and the Realty Executives over in Waltham, MA on their newly launched Sequoia Websites!
Crispin Richey wanted a great looking we
bsite to leverage and build his own personal brand, while staying aligned with Sotheby's trademark attributes. Built out of his brokerage parent theme, we were still able to produce a site uniquely tailored to Crispin's personal taste and needs.
Any agent at any brokerage we serve can use the parent theme at no additional upfront cost, just like it was a Standard of-the-shelf theme.
The icing on Crispin's cake? His parent brokerage has a fully customized Sequoia website design!

New Sequoia Site Launch: Spark Realty Group!
Spark Realty Group, Inc. recently opened their doors on Boston's fashionable Newbury Street and knew their website had to be built from the ground up with a look and feel to match their premium branding. As a new firm, they also knew the importance of getting as many leads as possible right out of the gate. Boston Logic's Sequoia platform and our Modified Theme design package proved to be the perfect combination for Spark, blending the most powerful software in the real estate industry with our award-winning design.
The result is a stylish and easy-to-use website with an attractive user interface, plus all the tools Spark Realty Group will need to capture leads and close deals.
In addition, with the busy schedule of a brand new real estate company, Spark knew that creating unique, search engine optimized content for their new site would be a daunting task. Fortunately for
them, Boston Logic offers content creation at levels from the very basic all the way up to highly comprehensive packages such as the one Spark Realty Group opted for. In addition to creating content for the basic pages of the site, such as the property search pages and contact forms, our marketing department filled Spark's new site with original and optimized content about the neighborhoods they serve, as well as a large number of Boston and Cambridge luxury buildings which the Spark team focuses on in their boutique high-end firm.
Only a few brie
f meetings between our project management staff and Spark's core team were needed for Boston Logic to take the wheel of this project and craft a handsome, feature-rich website loaded with quality content.
We wish Spark Realty Group all the best as they continue to grow and succeed in the lucrative Boston real estate market!

The Numbers Are In: Sequoia Users Make More Money!
You Can't Argue with Numbers.
The Findings...
Boston Logic looked at all Sequoia users in one MLS and compared them to other real estate agents in the same MLS. The numbers told a clear story. On the buy side, Sequoia users average 33% more trans-action value than the average buyer’s agent. On the sell side, Sequoia agents sell 46% more real estate!
Our Method...
Using MLS PIN data in Massachusetts, we first looked at agents who have actively worked helping buyers in the past 12 months, closing at least 1 buy-side transaction in that period. We then compared this group of agents to the agents who use Boston Logic’s Sequoia platform. The average buyer’s agent total transaction value (summed prices of all homes sold) for a Sequoia user was 33.1% higher than the average agent.
A similar process was followed for real estate agents working with sellers. Analyzing over 54,000 transactions in the past 12 months in Massachusetts, the average total transaction value for Sequoia agents working with sellers was 46.3% higher than the average agent who had done at least 1 seller-side transaction. Boston Logic has more clients who work with MLSPIN than any other MLS. Thus, their data made for the largest sample set available.

Latest Sequoia Feature Enhancements!
Our development team has worked through countless beach days to round out the Summer with some key feature enhancements to the Sequoia System Platform. From design improvements, to social sharing tools, to user-friendly front and back-end upgrades, Boston Logic's techies have run the gamut in Sequoia Platform enhancements for optimal system performance. Here are the highlights:
Design
We've added the ability to use custom fonts in any of our design themes. We no longer have to be tethered to the "web-standard" list - by embedding custom fonts, we can now use whatever typeface you want in designing your new site. This lets us match the font on your Sequoia website exactly to your offline collateral, and means that you are limited in style only by your imagination.
Social Sharing
In addition adding the LinkedIn share button (which will also now be tracked in Google Analytics), we combined all social media share buttons (Facebook, Twitter, Google +1, and LinkedIn) to display in a "tooltip" as a single "Share this Site" or "Share this Page" button. This will help conserve some space (at the top or bottom of your site's home page), giving your social sharing tools a more organized appeal.
We also added a field in Social Media Settings which allows you to set your own default Twitter hashtag; when your leads tweet content from your site, the hashtag you set is automatically added to the message!
QR Codes
We've added QR codes to the printable listing sheets and showing sheets you can create on the back end of your website. These link directly to the property's details page on your website - so you can hand out printed materials that help drive prospective customers to your site.
Town Pages Update
We've updated Town Pages to allow you to show off listings on which you were the buyer's agent; now you can highlight your sales on both ends of the process with a single checkbox.
LogicCMS - 301 Redirects
We built the ability to implement your own 301 redirects into our LogicCMS. 301 redirects tell search engines that content they are used to finding in one location has permanently moved to another. If you are creating new pages with new URLs when you move onto the Sequoia platform, all you have to do is put the old URL in the 301 redirect field on the new page and our software will automatically ensure that your search engine rankings for content on the page in question won't be affected negatively by changing the page path.
Spambot Blocker
We've added the ability to require reCaptcha on your site's Sign Up page - this tool keeps spambots out while still letting quality leads in. You can turn it on or off in your Settings panel.
Check in to one of our weekly trainings to stay current on all the features and functionality Sequoia has to offer - or attend a no-pressure demo to see how the system can work specifically for you and your business!

How To Promote Your New Website: Part 3
If you've been tuned into to our special three part client consult on how to promote your new website, you've already got 2/3 of
your strategy in the bag and ready to put into action:
1) Get savvy with online techniques- utilize and employ social media applications, tools, and SEO tactics
2) Think outside of the box- draw attention to your website with creative marketing and outbound communication
Last, but certainly not least, let's talk about some traditional and new methods of reaching your audience offline...
Business Cards & Stationary
If you were thinking that your company logo, business cards, or stationary could use a facelift (or you don’t have any yet) you’ll want to make sure that you have consistent branding throughout your collateral that compliments the theme and design of your new website.
Now’s your chance to decide on new branding, such as color schemes, fonts, and logos! Boston Logic’s design team can help. You’ll want to try to coordinate the launch of the new site with the printing of your newly branded collateral so you’ll have it ready to go for a strong, unified launch.
QR Codes
Show off how hip you are by adding a QR code to the back of your business cards, in printed advertisements, on ‘Open House’ & ‘For Sale’ signs, event signage, etc. that lead users to your website when scanned on their smart phones.
The Sequoia System adds QR Codes to your Listing Sheets and Showing Sheets.
Conferences & Events
If you're attending trade shows or conferences, be sure to have a monitor up at your booth showing off the new site. If you are speaking or presenting at an event, you can announce it at the end of your talk directing the audience to contact you after the event. Make sure you’ve got signage and handouts with your new website URL and/ or QR codes leading to pages on your site.
Your Office Windows & Reception Area
If your company has an office, or multiple office locations, you can put signage in your windows announcing the new site. Leave extra trade show brochures in your reception area for visitors to take with them when they leave, and hopefully they will re-visit your site.
Host a Party!
If you’re an established company or have a large list of contacts, host a launch party to thank loyal customers- celebrate the new website during the party on a projector or during a speech, etc.
Make a Facebook Event to promote your actual launch party if you’re having one. If not, consider hosting a Virtual Launch Party and make an Event for that! Just like a newsletter announcement, you’ll want to include an intriguing image and highlight the coolest elements about the new website. A little incentive to visit the site/attend the [virtual] party is a good idea, too! It has to be fun and creative or people will look at your communication as spam.
Press Releases
You could do a traditional press release along with self-promoting your blog about the website launch, but your new website alone may not be deemed news-worthy by bigger outlets, so make sure you submit your press release to industry-specific news publications or magazines, as well as or local newspapers and business journals.
If your press release is published, be sure to announce, share, Re-tweet, and link to the publications that feature your website on your various social media sites (i.e Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook) as a way of saying ‘thank you’ and getting that content more attention.
The After Math -- Your Content Strategy & Schedule
If you’ve ever attended a Boston Logic LogicClassroom, you know that we always preach ‘Content is King’ when it comes to developing your brand online, and increasing your website traffic, lead generation and search engine ranking. Once the initial fan-fair of your new website announcement dies down, you’ll want to ensure you are enticing people to continue to visit your website!
This means you’ll want to come up with a Content Creation Strategy (i.e. a plan to write Town Pages for all the areas you serve, or to create a section of your site with Buyer or Seller Resources, etc.), and blogging schedule for your internal team. I’d suggest blogging about twice per week (more if you have the time and resources!) when you first launch your site so that you are generating fresh, keyword-rich content regularly.
Informative, entertaining, and useful blogs are the most popular blogs. Consider writing downloadable ‘White Papers’ that your potential clients would want to read, and require an email address to download the content to capture more leads.
Research proves, blogging regularly to create fresh content for your site will encourage people to come back and increase your search engine ranking and lead capture.
If you just launched a new website and you have any additional questions or comments- don't hesitate to reach out to our team of marketing experts!
New ideas or success stories of what's working? We'll take those too!
And if you're stuck in a rut with your current website provider, and you're now realizing the benefits of having a great platform and design to help grow your business online- contact us today for a no-pressure consultation
Good luck!
